Bass & Reiner Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Ivan Iannoli. Debuting a body of photographic assemblages and the artist’s first projected light works, the exhibition will concentrate on Iannoli’s continued explorations with the physical nature of imagery.

In his first solo show with the gallery, Iannoli builds upon themes of transparency, transmission, and legibility that he has been exploring for much of his career. By creating multiple physical layers on translucent materials that interplay and obscure one another, he calls into question spatial, as well as symbolic relationships.

Ivan Iannoli is a San Francisco based artist and educator. His work has been included in shows around the country, including Photo LA 2015; Shoshana Wayne Gallery, Los Angeles; PØST Gallery, Los Angeles; and SIA Gallery, Sheffield, England.
